Jeff's Hot Dog Chili
A simple, no-bean chili made specifically to top hot dogs, ready in about 30 minutes. It's designed for serving on a hot dog and bun with just a few ingredients. It's a sweet-savory, ketchup-forward chili sauce — more of a topping consistency than a stand-alone bowl of chili — and comes together with pantry staples in one pot.

Ingredients

  • (1 pound) Grass-fed Ground Beef
  • (1/3 cup) Water
  • (5 ounces) Tomato sauce
  • (1/2 cup) Ketchup
  • (2 1/2 teaspoons) Chili powder
  • (1/2 teaspoon) Salt
  • (1/2 teaspoon) Ground black pepper
  • (1/2 teaspoon) White sugar, or to taste
  • (1/2 teaspoon) Onion powder
  • (1 dash) Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Place ground beef and water in a large saucepan; break apart beef using a potato masher.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, chili powder, salt, black pepper, sugar, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium heat until beef is cooked and chili thickens, about 20 minutes.
  5. Serve over hot dogs and enjoy!
