Ready in about 30 minutes, it’s a casual, crowd-pleasing dish that combines the bold flavors of seasoned ground beef and beans with the satisfying texture of gooey cheese and crisp Fritos for a fun twist on classic chili.

Ingredients

  • (1 pound) Grass-fed Ground Beef
  • (1) Small yellow onion, diced
  • (2 tablespoons) Taco seasoning
  • (2 teaspoons) Chili powder
  • (1 teaspoon) Garlic powder
  • (To taste) Salt & pepper
  • (2 (15 oz) cans) Chili beans
  • (1 (8 oz) can) Tomato sauce
  • (2 cups) Shredded cheese
  • (2 cups) Fritos corn chips
  • (2 teaspoons) Hot sauce (optional)
  • (For topping) Sour cream
  • (For topping) Diced red onions
  • (For topping) Guacamole
  • (For topping) Lettuce
  • (For topping) Diced tomatoes
  • (For topping) Olives

Directions

  • Heat a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  • Add diced onion, ground beef, taco seasoning, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt and pepper.
  • Cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking up the beef as it browns, until no longer pink. Drain excess grease if needed, then return the meat to the pan.
  • Stir in the beans and tomato sauce, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • While it simmers, preheat the oven broiler to high.
  • Layer half of the cheese over the chili, followed by the corn chips, then top with the remaining cheese.
  • Broil for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot with your choice of toppings.
