Rich, garlicky, and perfectly buttery, Beef Salpicao is a Filipino-style stir-fry made with tender cubes of ribeye or sirloin steak, cooked quickly in a savory soy-butter sauce and topped with golden garlic bits. Ingredients
- (12 ounces, cut into 1-inch cubes or strips) Grass-fed Sirloin Steak
- (To taste) Salt and pepper
- (1 tablespoon) Soy sauce
- (1/2 tablespoon) Oyster sauce
- (1/2 tablespoon) Brown sugar
- (2 tablespoons) Oil
- (3 cloves) Garlic, minced
- (3 tablespoons) Butter
Directions
- Season the Beef
Lightly season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Set aside. - Fry the Garlic
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until golden brown and crisp. Remove and set aside for garnish. - Sear the Beef
Turn the heat to medium-high. Add the beef cubes in a single layer and sear for about 1 minute per side, or until nicely browned. Stir-fry for another 2–3 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness. - Add the Sauce
Pour in the soy-oyster mixture and let it boil briefly (about 10 seconds). Stir well to coat the beef evenly. - Finish with Butter
Add the butter and stir until melted, coating the beef with a rich, glossy sauce. Sprinkle half of the fried garlic, toss once more, then transfer to a serving plate. - Garnish and Serve
Top with the remaining garlic bits. Serve hot with steamed rice or toasted bread.
